Welcome to orbhost's Online Technical Support Area

Before you try to contact someone at orbhost for technical support, it is a good idea to check this online tech support area (starting right here), the answers to your questions have a good chance of being here and it may save everybody some precious time, while avoiding frustration.

If you are a new user and haven't yet done anything with your account but have questions or don't know where to begin, check the How Do I page. You will find many answers to the most common and basic questions. This should get you started with your web site right away. This area is also a FAQ (frequently asked questions) area to get more Tips, Tricks and useful infos about web design methods and other related subjects.

If you are new to web design, you probably should be using WYSIWYG design software to make it easier for you to get the work done without having to learn about HTML. Check the Web Design Tools page for some help with a few common software packages available right now.

For those who wish to use their telnet access, which allows to work on some aspects of their web sites that couldn't be done without going on the server, such as managing users for password protected areas or auto-responders, or even check the quota of available space or change login password. These operations require the knowledge of a few basic Unix commands, and an overview of some of them can be found here.

Users with some experience and who have uploaded web pages before will find the basic procedure for FTP uploads here. For the few who have never done this before, try reading the FTP uploads page and if you still have some troubles, ask the system administrator for a personaly guided initial upload.
