When you are logged on to the orbhost server
using Telnet, use the
UNIX command
"quota". The number of
blocks used and the allowed quota will be displayed along
with the grace period, if any. The blocks have a 1K size so
if your account is set up for 10 Megs (about 10 million
bytes) for example, then the allowed number of blocks would
be 10,000 (approximately). The grace period for going over
the quota is usually a few days. The quota is also expressed
as two numbers, one is the "soft" limit, which allows
going over the limit with a warning, and the "hard"
limit which is the absolute limit to not go over. Having a
warning by going over the "soft" limit allows to
manage the space more efficiently, as you get a little extra
space and time to get your usage under control.
